Mrs. Briana Shacklett
I love teaching and look forward to my 11th year teaching Kindergarten. I taught third grade for 10 1/2 years at St. Edward before moving to Kindergarten 10 years ago. I attended St. Edwards for 8 years and graduated in 1991 and graduated from FRHS in 1995. I have a bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education from MTSU and enjoy continuing my education with workshops and kindergarten conferences. I have been married 20 years to John. We have a 15 year old named Hunter and 1st grader named Tanner. I have 7 brothers and sisters and 19 nieces and nephews. I love reading books, camping, four wheeling on our RZR, swimming, visiting the library, and spending time with my family. My philosophy of teaching is to provide a caring and nurturing environment that helps children expand their knowledge and work with one another to learn. I believe children learn many different ways so I use many different ways of teaching to reach all learners. I love to use technology, guided reading, music, and hands-on learning. |
